A house for those who take
their time seriously.
A new way to hold a thought, built on the science of collect, organize, do.
The first ninety minutes, written from your night.
The day, shaped by what is true of you. Decided long before it begins.

A thought written down is a thought released. The mind was never built to hold an open loop; it was built to think. Set the thing down in one line and it rests in the tray. At your word the Concierge reads each slip and files it where it belongs: a volume in the library, a day on the ledger, a reminder, the journal. What remains is the day, in order, and a mind with room in it.
This is the oldest discipline in the science of attention. Unfinished things pull at us whether or not we look at them, which is what Bluma Zeigarnik measured and what David Allen built a practice around. The remedy is not willpower. It is a place to put them.

Light first, then water. Movement before the mind is asked for anything. Stillness before the first decision. The composition runs ninety minutes from the moment you wake, and the reasoning is written beside each movement, so that nothing in the morning is done on faith.
Morning light sets the clock that will decide tonight's sleep. A pause before caffeine lets the night's adenosine clear. A walk wakes the body before the work. Each piece has been shown on its own; the Ritual arranges the pieces in their order.

The house keeps the record: every sitting, every night’s sleep, every week closed and every week that ran long, the whole year at a glance. Each morning the Preceptor reads it and the Concierge makes sense of it, so that what you learn about how you work becomes how you work: the hour of your finest work, the rest you are owed, the day that will bend if it is not guarded.
The shape of your day is your own circadian rhythm, read from your sleep rather than assumed: the crest for creation, the trough for what asks less, the sittings set on the rise. The weeks stand on the shelf as volumes, each with its nights beside its work, so the pattern shows itself: what a good night made possible, what a poor one cost, where the finest days fall. The brain works in waves of roughly ninety minutes, as Nathaniel Kleitman found. Attention left on the last task taxes the next, as Sophie Leroy showed. The deep sitting, undivided, is where the finest work is done, as Cal Newport has argued.

Who makes The Atelier, the terms on which it is offered, what it keeps of yours, whose work it stands on, and whose marks these are. The same words stand as a plain page at theateliernewyork.com/legal.
The Atelier is made and owned by Atlas IP Holdings LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company, of Ridgewood, New Jersey. For any legal matter, write to [email protected].
The Atelier is offered by invitation only. A room is opened for the person invited, in their own name, and for no one else. You must be eighteen or older to hold one.
Your record is your own, and so is the keeping of it: the keys you join to the house, the phrase that seals a vault, the recovery key issued once. The house cannot restore what it was never able to read.
The house is offered as it stands. To the fullest extent the law allows, it comes without warranty of any kind, and Atlas IP Holdings LLC’s liability to you for anything arising from it is limited to the fees you have paid for the service, which at present are none.
You may leave at any time from Connectors, and every record under your name is struck. The house may close a room, change what it offers, or close its doors altogether, at its discretion, with notice where notice can be given.
Nothing here transfers any intellectual property of the house to you, and nothing here takes any of yours: what you write in your room remains yours.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, and any dispute under them is brought in the courts of Bergen County, New Jersey. Where the app is distributed through Apple, Apple’s own terms govern that distribution in addition to these.
The house keeps only what it needs to find your room again and to lay your day: the name and address on your account, your record, and the keys you choose to join. Sleep and health data drawn from WHOOP, Oura, Eight Sleep or Apple Health is used only to render your own day; it is never sold, never shared, and never used for advertising. The whole of it is set down plainly on the privacy page, with how the record is struck.
The accompaniment plays through YouTube; Google’s and YouTube’s terms of service and privacy policy apply to it. The night may be drawn from the Eight Sleep client API, from Oura, from WHOOP, or from Apple Health by a Shortcut on your own phone; each is used under its maker’s terms, with the key you alone gave the house.
The clerk speaks through Anthropic’s API. Sign in and the vault are kept by Supabase. The house is served by Cloudflare. Sign in with Google and Google Calendar are Google services: The Atelier’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The house stands on open work, with thanks: three.js (MIT License); Tauri (MIT and Apache 2.0 Licenses); the Newsreader, Inter and Homemade Apple typefaces (SIL Open Font License).
Atlas IP Holdings LLC does not sell or share personal information, and never has. A resident of California may ask what the house holds about them, or ask that it be struck, by writing to the address above, or by leaving the house from Connectors, which strikes it at once.
